Episode 40. Alistair Suttie (SNP Council Candidate)
Today we speak to the SNP candidate for Kennoway, Leven & Largo (Ward no. 22). We discussed Alistairs previous work both within and outwith politics and community work. Had a chat about the SNP campaign during the EU referendum, the difference between the UK and Scottish voting records over the years as well as a brief discussion on the opposition candidate, Colin Davidsons opposition to UCG. Also near the end of the podcast, there was some very heated debate regarding the controversial Tunnocks Teacake.
Official response from Labour spokesperson:
"It is disappointing that the SNP candidate has chosen to attack Colin Davidson for opposing Underground Coal Gasification (UCG).
As pleased as we are that a block on UCG has been introduced, it is important that the people of Leven, Kennoway and Largo are aware of Mr Davidson's position on an issue that is important to many. It is bizarre that Mr Davidson is being critiqued for making his position clear.
What is concerning is that SNP MP Peter Grant has falsely accused Colin of saying he would ban UCG. Despite being asked several times to provide evidence of this, Peter Grant has chosen to ignore said requests.
It is sad that the SNP are deploying underhand tactics to mislead the voters of Leven, Kennoway and Largo. We will continue to concentrate on our own positive campaign, as we have done from the start."
